Description:

1832 Indian Tacked Musket Military issued Pomeroy Percussion converted from Flintlock this musket has 57 brass tacks around the butt stock and 30 brass tacks on the end of the stock. The stock was shortened (typically done to accommodate the smaller statured Indian) There is still a fair amount of red/orange ochre paint around the tacks. The action is tight and working. No ramrod. An excellent example of a military musket captured and utilized by the Indians
