Description:

An unbelievable offering! I will have to label this the sweetest item of the sale!. Here we have a miniature pipe bag and pipe; I believe this to be Sioux circa 1870-1880's. The bag is 2.5in x 8in overall and the quilled slats are 2.5in long. As you can see, the bag has a beaded panel, beaded sides, and beaded neck. It has quilled tin cone dangles. The pipe and stem are 7in overall. What was this' A kid's toy or just a miniature for personal use' Both pieces show great age, use and character. The pipe even shows evidence of having been smoked Overall condition is very good. There is some quill loss on both the pipe stem and quilled slats. I think you will have to agree, this is a remarkale offering. I was very tempted to keep this for myself. The photo shows items near actual size
