Civil War Triplett & Scott Repeating Carbine made by the Meriden Company in Connecticut. This carbine is the rare 22in barrel (2000 estimated production) Which is quite scarce. Marked TRIPLETT & SCOTT/PATENT DEC. 6, 1864 MERIDEN MAN'FG. CO./MERIDEN, CONN. The carbine utilized a seven-shot Magazine in the butt with a swivel frame for loading, making this an unusual and Rare repeater. Original with a clean but slightly pitted barrel. The sling swivels Are missing; the action for the swivel loading frame works fine: the tube spring is Original and intact: the cocking action is not catching and probably needs a spring The stock has the typical damage and repair found on the stock directly behind the frame.
