Hudson's Bay shipped blankets in pairs and ripped them apart after they arrived. That way they only paid duty on one blanket when they really had double the amount. This pair of uncut blankets came from the estate ofa missionary lady who worked in Canada. There is a label in both lowercomers - without a country of origin. This was required in 1890 thereby dating this to the 1880's. This is a four point blanket in quite good condition. The number of points indicates the price - 4 large beaver.
