Very Rare Revolutionary or Civil War Era Cannonball Tongs this set of hand- forged blacksmith made tongs was used to carry 6in cannonballs the tong ends have forged circular hooks and the shanks are forged in a manner to accommodate the round balls. The hand forged tops are tied together with a forged iron chain. The hinge pin is likewise hand forged and peened. A very rare piece of cannonade Military history.
